The article I chose to read is called "Just Call Me" by Anne Curzan. I chose this article because the writing was very informative about how to call someone's name without sounding disrespectful. I remember my mom used to teach at a daycare, and the kids used to call my mom Ms. Shiela even the staff called her by her first name, but when she became a first-grade teacher, the staff and students would call her by her last name, which is Mrs. Mack. The article mentioned that in her undergraduate class, her students were trying to figure out how to call her.
